On 5 May 2025, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved the New Labour Law, replacing the 2003 legislation. This reform introduces wide-ranging updates to contract structures, leave entitlements, wage definitions, working hours, and modern employment models, marking a pivotal shift in Egypt’s employment framework.
