Managing Associate

Taya is a Managing Associate in ADSERO’s General Corporate, Commercial, Regulatory, and Projects departments, with a focus on the Energy, Environment and Natural resources sector.

Taya has over four years of professional experience and is well versed in general corporate, commercial matters, environmental and compliance matters as well as energy and renewable energy projects.

Before joining the firm, Taya interned and worked at several Egyptian law firms, gaining solid experience in litigation, international commercial law arbitration, civil and commercial law disputes, labour law, and general corporate and commercial matters.  Furthermore, on a more occasional basis, Taya has worked on cases involving tax law, maritime law, inheritance law, human rights, and protection of the environment matters.

Taya is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish and is qualified to practice law in Egypt.

Advised a UAE-based media company on the launch of their platform, including the execution and negotiation of all relevant agreements.

Assisted energy companies with their corporate legal affairs in Egypt.​

Supported clients with their environmental legal compliance and RSE obligations, such as waste management, obtaining permits and licenses, and other related requirements.

Advised a transportation company on the execution and implementation of a transportation contract and associated maintenance services contracts.

Assisted clients with the implementation of renewable energy projects in Egypt.

Assisted an Egyptian-based construction company in implementing a solar power plant abroad, including the execution and negotiation of all relevant agreements.

Supported a client in the sale of renewable energy plant projects.

Advised an Egyptian-based real estate company on a share purchase transaction for establishing a new school management entity.

Assisted an international energy company with the liquidation of a branch in Egypt.

Assisted in the implementation of a joint association between major wind energy companies.

Represented and assisted in the coordination of a significant litigation portfolio for an Egyptian-based company.

Represented petroleum companies in various commercial and labour law disputes before national courts.

Represented several construction companies in international arbitration cases before the International Court of Arbitration, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration.

  • 2024Featured Speaker on Waste Management and Green Hydrogen at Law Day 2024, Organised by the French Embassy and Sorbonne IDAI.
  • 2022 – Organised a webinar on environmental law in Egypt in presence of H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, lead negotiator of the COP27 and in cooperation with Foley Hoag – Paris.
  • 2022 – Organised a pre-moot for the international teams in preparation for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot rounds.
  • 2021 – 2023 – Coached, organised, and held several national rounds of Moot Courts on international commercial arbitration.
  • 2018 – Oralist and participant in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court.
