Omar Moanes is a Junior Associate in the firm’s Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory department, specialising in energy, environment, and natural resources law.
Omar graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law (English Section) at Ain Shams University. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public International Law at Benha University. His academic pursuits are further enriched by his active involvement in moot court competitions, notably the FDI Moot Court, where he has participated as a competitor and a coach. Additionally, Omar has served as an arbitrator in the AlexU-CRCICA Vis Pre-Moot V competition.
Omar has gained valuable experience through internships at top-tier law firms in Cairo, where he has effectively applied his extensive legal knowledge. He has advised local and international energy companies on restructuring, corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters in Egypt. His legal expertise includes drafting and reviewing various types of agreements, policies, and MOUs, providing comprehensive legal advice, and conducting in-depth legal research across multiple fields of law.
