Menna is a Counsel in the firm’s General Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory department, leading the E-Commerce, Retail, and Logistics practice. She has over nine years of experience at top-tier law firms in Egypt, with over three years of in-house secondment with Amazon.

Menna has extensive experience in providing clients with comprehensive legal support for conducting business in Egypt. Her expertise includes trade, general compliance and regulatory, product compliance and consumer protection, data privacy, employment, and day-to-day contractual and corporate and commercial law matters. She advises and represents leading e-commerce, retail, and logistics companies across different industries, including, FMCG, fashion and automotive.

Menna speaks fluent Arabic and English, and is qualified to practice law in Egypt.

Seconded to Amazon’s Consumer Legal team in Egypt, acting as in-house counsel advice on all matters of Egyptian law. Also seconded to Amazon’s Business Conduct & Ethics Legal team, advising on internal compliance matters for Amazon in the MENA region and AWS in EMEA and Turkey.

Represented clients in legislation discussions, including the Consumer Protection Law, Media Regulations, Land Transportation of Goods Using Technology, and consumer protection regulation.

Gained hands on, in-depth experience advising clients across various sectors on creating and implementing compliant business models in Egypt.

Prior to ADSERO:

Advised a major educational institution on the potential acquisition of government affiliated schools.

Represented an array of clients, including, Al Abbar Enterprises, Google, OSI Rapiscan, TUI, NOMAC, Karm Solar Group, EnerMech, Clariant, Neovia, Amgen, LC Waikiki, Azadea, Mass Group Holding, and Bloomberg, on various general corporate and employment matters. Provided day-to-day commercial law advice, including the review and drafting of agreements.

Advised Attijariwafa Bank on its acquisition of Barclays Egypt, which involved conducting extensive due diligence on all legal aspects of Barclays Egypt.

Advised Alabbar Enterprises LLC on its acquisition of a 69% stake in Middle East fast-food operator Kuwait Food Co. (Americana), valued at about USD 1.8 billion.

Advised General Electric Co. on the Egyptian Law aspects of its global acquisition of Alstom SA’s power business, a transaction valued at an estimated USD 9.5 billion.

  • 2019 Seconded to Slaughter and May’s EXPLORE Placement Programme for associates in London. The three-week program included training on technical and commercial matters from April to May 2019.
  • 2014 2015 – Team member on the Cairo University team at the University of Oxford’s Price Media Law Moot Court Competition 2014/2015. First team from the Middle East Region to qualify for the Octo-Finals.
  • 2015 Head of the Academic Committee of the Moot Court Model – Cairo University.
  • Member of the Egyptian Bar Association.
