Marwan Awny is a Junior Associate in the firm’s General Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory department.
Marwan is part of the firm’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) Law team, where he advises clients on Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, Media, E-Commerce and Artificial Intelligence.
Prior to joining ADSERO, Marwan worked for the Egyptian Government in the Cabinet of Minister of Youth and Sports as a Public Policy Associate for more than two years. During this time, he advised on International Law, Public Policy, International Cooperation, and Youth Diplomacy.
Additionally, Marwan interned at several prominent law firms and arbitration centers in Egypt and the MENA region, gaining experience in Commercial, Civil, Labour, and Environmental Laws. He also worked on arbitration cases in accordance with the rules of the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) in Egypt and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Netherlands. Marwan has also actively participated in numerous Moot Court Competitions, focusing on Public International Law, Commercial Arbitration, and Investment Arbitration.
Marwan has extensive experience in drafting MoUs, memos, and agreements in both Arabic and English and has a good working knowledge of French. He regularly liaises with ministries and governmental authorities.
