Associate

Mariam is an Associate at ADSERO in the General Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory department, with a focus on the Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources practice group.

Prior to joining ADSERO, Mariam gained extensive experience in commercial, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution through training at top-tier law firms in Egypt. Her experience includes advising on corporate restructurings and acquisitions, conducting legal due diligence, and drafting legal documentation. She has also contributed to arbitration proceedings through legal research, memorial preparation, and dispute strategy support.

Additionally, Mariam conducted advanced legal research in international cultural heritage law within a multidisciplinary research programme launched by the University of Oxford, with a focus on restitution, policy development, and cross-border legal frameworks. In this capacity, she collaborated with leading academic institutions, museum curators, and policymakers in the United Kingdom.

2023 – Developed and presented legal arguments for cultural heritage restitution at the academic conference “Restitution of Knowledge: The Rosetta Stone and Egypt's Estranged Heritage”.

2016 – Participated in the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, Oxford University, with a focus on freedom of expression and media law.
