Mahmoud is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution - Litigation department, specialising in complex commercial disputes. He also has experience in labour law, criminal procedures, and white-collar crimes.
His diverse practice includes managing cases involving investment companies, joint-stock companies, and limited liability companies, as well as civil and state council cases. Mahmoud has also worked on criminal cases, particularly those related to money laundering and embezzlement.
Assisted in securing a favourable judgment for Senyorita Group for Food Industries, a subsidiary of Americana Group, in a case where the plaintiff claimed an award of EGP 35 MN, and assisted also in securing a favourable judgment for the company in a case where the plaintiff claimed an award of EGP 141 MN.
Represented Arpuplus, a leading mobile entertainment and communication solutions company, in a critical economic case valued at USD 1 MN. Successfully persuaded the court to limit the plaintiff's award to EGP 100,000, rejecting most of the financial claims. Mahmoud also prepared a cassation appeal to challenge this judgment, and while the Court of Cassation has not yet rendered its verdict, the Cassation Prosecution has issued a memo in Favor of Arpuplus.
Played a key role in managing administrative investigations at Amazon, where five employees were found to be engaging in fraudulent activities. Mahmoud handled the entire investigation process, from referring the employees for investigation to submitting criminal reports against them. He successfully secured a referral order for the criminal trial of two employees and won a labor case filed by one of the employees, achieving a favourable outcome for the company.
Secured a favourable judgment for Abdul Latif Jameel Finance Egypt (aljfinance) in a complex case where the plaintiff sought EGP 5 MN. The court ultimately dismissed the plaintiff's entire claim, ruling in favour of aljfinance.
