

Alaa is a Junior Associate at ADSERO in the General Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory practice area, within the Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals practice group.
She assists in advising pharmaceutical and healthcare companies on regulatory matters in Egypt, including drug pricing, registration, distribution, and promotion and assists in supporting clients in understanding and complying with regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) regulations, and facilitating market access.
Her work frequently involves engaging with governmental authorities, including the Ministry of Health and Population, the EDA, and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
Prior to joining ADSERO, Alaa completed several internships at leading law firms and institutions, gaining exposure to a wide range of legal practice areas and has been actively involved in moot court, mediation, and legal writing competitions across public international law, international criminal law, competition law, and real estate law.
She is fluent in Arabic and English and has a working knowledge of French and Spanish.
2024 – 2025 – Participated in the Nuremberg Moot Court Competition, ranking 2nd globally in the prosecution memorandum and 8th in the international oral rounds in Nuremberg, Germany.
2025 – Participated in the WIF International Mediation Writing Competition.
2025 – Awarded first place in the Competition Authority Simulation organised by the Egyptian Competition Authority.
2024 – Awarded first place in ADSERO’s Legal Writing Competition on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
2023 – 2024 – Participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, winning two preliminary rounds.
2022 – 2023 – Participated in the Oxford Moot Court Competition.
