Associate

Mostafa is an Associate in ADSERO’s Dispute Resolution department, where he focuses on complex civil, commercial, labour, and competition-related disputes before the first instance court, the Court of Appeal, the Court of Cassation, the State Council, and CRCICA. His experience includes high-value disputes, actions to annul arbitration awards, and matters involving intricate jurisdictional and comparative law issues.

He has played a key role in high-value and technically challenging disputes, including actions to annul arbitration awards, proceedings involving major multinational corporations, and matters requiring in-depth comparative research on Swiss, EU, and international laws. He has contributed to investigations and advisory work concerning anti-competitive practices, regulatory compliance, and advised on jurisdictional and regulatory issues affecting cross-border disputes.

Prior to joining ADSERO, Mostafa interned at leading regional firms, gaining experience in arbitration, sports law, and corporate matters. He also completed the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management and holds dual BA/LLB degrees, graduating with distinction for his thesis on sports dispute resolution.

Mostafa remains actively engaged in the legal community through moot court judging, coaching, and academic initiatives.

  • Advised and drafted legal opinions for multinational companies on compensation matters under Egyptian civil law.
  • Assisted in providing legal opinions, handling cases before Egyptian courts, coordinating with international law firms, and conducting comparative legal research on foreign laws relevant to cross-border disputes for one of the largest TMT companies in the MENA region.
  • Represented clients before social insurance committees and labour law authorities, securing favourable judgments in various employment-related disputes.
  • Represented a leading multinational client before the State Council in two high-value disputes exceeding EGP 80 million and 100 million, preparing memoranda and facilitating expert proceedings that resulted in a favourable expert report.
  • Acted as counsel in litigation to annul an arbitration award, conducting extensive comparative legal research on Swiss arbitration law and international jurisdictional issues.
  • Drafted defences and conducted comparative EU competition law research to support clients in investigations before the Egyptian Competition Authority.
  • Represented a leading pharmaceutical company in a commercial fraud case before criminal courts, securing a favourable ruling.
  • Drafted and represented clients in a lawsuit to lift a seizure order valued at EGP 2 million, obtaining a favourable judgment.
  • Represented clients in labour disputes, achieving favourable outcomes in unfair dismissal cases and proceedings before social insurance committees.
  • Handled settlement negotiations involving multinational entities, successfully securing USD-denominated agreements.
  • 2022 – Served as General Coordinator and President of the Student Union at The British University in Egypt (BUE), and led student initiatives.
  • 2022 – Awarded a Distinction (A+) for his thesis on Sports Dispute Resolution at BUE.
  • 2019 – 2022 – Contributed as a pro bono consultant at the university’s legal clinic, providing valuable legal assistance.
