Managing Associate

Mahmoud joined ADSERO – Ragy Soliman & Partners in 2019, first as an Associate and currently as a Managing Associate in the firm’s Corporate, Commercial & Regulatory practice area. Prior to joining ADSERO, Mahmoud worked at top-tier law firms in Cairo.

Currently, Mahmoud is leading the firm’s regulatory practice group. Mahmoud has extensive knowledge of licensing laws and regulations and strong expertise in managing relationships with government authorities. Also, Mahmoud has accumulated broad experience in all regulatory matters relying on extensive legal knowledge and expertise of practical insights.

In addition to handling day-to-day corporate and commercial matters on doing business in Egypt, Mahmoud advises and contributes to licensing and regulatory aspects of M&A transactions, which includes legal regulatory advice in various forms.

Mahmoud’s practice is focused on legal regulatory matters, including commercial licensing, industrial licensing, IP, TMT, life sciences, mining, international trading regulations, Oil &Gas services, renewable energy and natural resources, construction, and consumer protection.

Furthermore, Mahmoud is highly experienced in leading communication with governmental bodies in relation to client representation and conflict resolution based on his understanding of various business practices and legal statutory within the region, relying on solid awareness and attention to the professional responsibilities, culture and priorities of our clients.

Advised Pfizer on the construction of new facilities in their manufacturing facility in Cairo.

Provided legal support and day-to-day advice to many Egyptian companies in relation to registration at the Egyptian Federation of Construction and Building Contractors and obtaining and renewal of building permits.

Contributed to advising international gold mining exploration companies for gold and associated minerals organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority.

Advised several pharmaceutical companies on the business operations’ various matters.

Advised Amazon on day-to-day operation and commercial matters pertaining to business operations in Egypt and launching new products or features.

Advised IMCD group in various general corporate and regulatory matters.

Advised Fujifilm on the importation and legal statutory of medical devices in Egypt.

Lead negotiations with the Ministry of Finance representing “Cairo 3A” to conflict clearance due to their importation and stevedoring practices in Egypt.

Advised on the legal statutory regarding pharmaceutical products manufacturing and trading in

Handled legal/regulatory report for Siemens Mobility in connection with the contract with the Egyptian Government for the establishment of Egypt’s first-ever high-speed electric rail system.

Advised Telecom Egypt on the regulatory framework of different types of telecommunication and technology services.
