Omar is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department. Omar’s practice focuses on complex Commercial Litigation and Arbitration.

Omar’s primary practice area is tax and telecommunications disputes before all Egyptian courts and arbitration tribunals. His involvement in these disputes spans from the initial stages, where he prepares legal strategies and provides legal opinions, to the subsequent phases of drafting legal notices, statements of claims, and defence memoranda.

Additionally, Omar possesses proficiency in managing competition disputes, annulment and enforcement of arbitral awards, common property disputes, contract disputes, and administrative attachment disputes. Furthermore, Omar has experience writing submissions to the Public Prosecution and representing clients before court experts’ committees.

Moreover, Omar has expertise in providing legal opinions in numerous areas and drafting contracts and settlement agreements.

Participates in acting on behalf of a major telecommunications operator in Egypt, challenging the decision of the Tax Appeal Committee, which was issued against the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and telecommunications companies. This case stands out as the most substantial in the history of the Egyptian State Council, given its value of EGP 9 billion.

Involved in providing a legal opinion to a major telecommunications operator regarding a national roaming dispute between two major telecommunications operators. The resolution of the dispute was achieved by reaching a settlement agreement.

Assisted in representing an investor who sought to invalidate an EGP 152 million arbitral award. The dispute ultimately concluded with the parties reaching a settlement agreement.
